Welcome at the Chair of Applied Mathematics I
Our research is centered around partial differential equations arising from mathematical models of continuum mechanics with particular focus on nonlinear coupled systems, including those containing stochastic parameters. The range of scientific activities spans the derivation of such models, their mathematical investigation, the design and rigorous analysis of numerical methods, and the implementation of research results in the form of proprietary and open source software.
The main areas of our teaching activities include
- Numerical Analysis
- Mathematical Modeling
- Mathematics in Engineering and Life Sciences
- Numerical Methods in Engineering and Life Sciences
- Functional Analysis
- Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations
- Introductory mathematical courses, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, etc.
Every semester we offer a wide selection of lectures, labs, and seminars on the above topics.
